Future in our Hands designed the COMPAS program from 2007-2010 for the achievement of following objectives as mentioned in the proposal developed in 2007. These were in line with the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), specifically Goal 1 (eradicate extreme poverty), Goal 3 (gender equality), Goal 7 (environmental sustainability) and Goal 8 (develop partnership for development)
Project objective:
Goal: Enhanced endogenous development of the communities through revival of indigenous knowledge systems and their worldviews.
Purpose: Demonstrated IK help increased poverty alleviation through participatory natural resource management

All the farmers are able to receive loan from
their CBOs at a rate of 20% interest per annum
